TESTED 2022

The Renault Trafic has been tested as part of ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison which assesses the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.

A September 2022 specification update brought safety upgrades to the Renault Trafic, resulting in a major improvement in its overall safety credentials – previously graded as NOT RECOMMENDED.

Key additions include autonomous emergency braking (AEB) for car-to-car scenarios and a lane departure warning system, both now standard across the range. Unavailable on the range, however, is AEB for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as lane keep assist resulting in an overall safety grading of SILVER.
