TESTED 2020

The Toyota HiAce has been assessed as part of ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison which evaluates the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.

Test results for the Toyota HiAce were obtained as part of the HiAce's separate star rating conducted in 2019 and consequently it was tested in an unladen condition. The addition of a part load would potentially affect its braking performance, but only slightly.

All ADAS features tested are fitted as standard across the Hiace range. The Toyota HiAce performed well across the autonomous emergency braking (AEB) test scenarios with GOOD scores achieved, however its lane support, speed assistance and occupant status monitoring systems received slightly lower ADEQUATE scores.
