TESTED 2024

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo has been tested as part of ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison which assesses the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.

The ID. Buzz Cargo achieved a PLATINUM grading on its market debut.

The ID. Buzz Cargo is fitted with autonomous emergency braking (car-to-car, car-to pedestrian, and car-to-cyclist), and a lane support system with lane departure warning and lane keep assist. Performance testing of these systems saw a mix of Good and Adequate results – contributing to its PLATINUM performance.

A speed assistance system is fitted, although the ID. Buzz Cargo available in Australia and New Zealand misses out on a more advanced intelligent adaptive cruise control system available on European vehicles.
